“…April is the Coolest Month”. Follow us far beyond Northern Liberties, higher than Fishtown, well past Kensington…

To the GREY LODGE PUB, at 6235 Frankford Avenue.

(7pm-9 pm, every Tuesday in April. First one: 4/3)

This two level pub is one of Philadelphia’s original great beer bars, where a great selection of brews await, along with a surprisingly wide-ranging menu.  It is (slightly) awkward* to get to by transit (unless you have a Brompton folder, but that’s another story)… parking is a breeze for you motorists, and a Lyft comes up at about 16 bucks from 13th and Market to the Grey Lodge, so… carpool you CCers!  Or maybe you are smart enough to live in Mayfair or Tacony, so come see exactly. what Publetters is about. We bring all the stationery, stamps and envelopes, and there’s never a charge for these. You need only bring words.

  • Getting to the Grey Lodge by transit:  Take the El to its northernmost end at the Frankford Transportation Center, then wait a while for the Rte. 66, or briskly walk 9/10ths of a mile up a bleak, yet meditative, stretch of Frankford Avenue– until the sudden oasis of the Grey Lodge hoves into view just past Harbison Avenue. After,  grab a Lyft (for like 6 bucks)  back to the El or the Bridesburg Regional Rail if the timing’s right! Or splash out about $16 for a Lyft all the way into the CC zone.
