Since Sunday, some 8,000 of the men and women who deliver the mail will be in Philadelphia, for the biannual National Association of Letter Carriers meeting at the Convention Center.
Tonight, about 4,000 of them are going to watch the Phillies at Citizens Bank. That leaves 4,000 to come to DOOBIES BAR tonight, for Publetters. This is an important convention for the letter carriers. Powerful private services have been trying to sabotage our Postal Service for years now–so they need our support.
Let’s welcome them to Philadelphia, and, we hope, to Doobies tonight, July 22, from 7 p.m. on.
We will also have some new addresses this week- including a young boy who really likes birthday cards–please swing by the card shop and get something that will make a 5-year-old smile.
see you at Publetters,
sincerely,
— Michael (Trophy Bikes), Patty (Doobies Bar), and Nestor (Casa Papel), your hosts.
