Goodbye to 2016, we can certainly say without hesitation…

We may not have felt much love for this passing year, but we shared affection and opinion with our fellows at the last Publetters of the year, in the comfy confines of Doobies Bar, 22nd & Lombard Sts.

We wrote about two dozen letters, and emptied an untallied number of glasses.  Our words went out to Misty Copeland in NYC, and that miserable orange Cheeto in T___p Tower, and to a Peace Corps pal in Paraguay. Some citizens of Brick, NJ, and the little town of Frackville, PA (Hmm, don’t drink the water?) also will be getting mail.

New Year’s Resolution: write more letters! We will be at Fergie’s Pub* every single Tuesday evening in January, starting 1/3.  Of course, Doobies Bar offers Publetters on the first Tuesday of every month which presents a dilemma on that date.  We say, go to whichever pub is closest to you.  Or perhaps hit Fergie’s first, and close things out at Doobies. It’s a free country (thus far!).

Publetters is brought to you by the letter Y, which stands for Yards Brewing, makers of Philly Pale Ale, our favorite beer, and Trophy Bikes, the shop that sells machines that get you there AND back. Our stationery is provided by the Gang of Three: Rittenhouse Instant Press, Printer’s Place and Northern Liberty Press.

Thanks and we hope to see you one of these crisp, cool Tuesdays at Fergies, 1214 Sansom Street, just around the corner from Springboard Media, a great place to buy Macs and such.

BTW, ICYMI, FYI, Publetters has a modest Interweb presence: we are on FB, Instagram and Twitter. Consider following us out there, just to boost our fragile self-esteem!
